My sister can't remember the password for her Android phone, and when I try to do a factory reset, the screen only shows a cancel button without any reset options. What can we do to fix this? Thanks for the help!

Can you tell us the make and model of the phone? It really helps in troubleshooting since different phones have different reset methods.
Are you using the volume buttons to navigate to the 'Wipe' option? Sometimes it's tricky to get that part right!
Yes, I'm using the volume buttons.
Keep in mind, not all Android phones have the same reset process or button assignments. Make sure you follow the steps specific to your model.
Check out the recovery mode for your Android phone. You might be missing the option if you're not in the right menu. Make sure to hold the correct button combination when starting the phone to access it properly. Here's a guide that might help: www.androidcentral.com/how-factory-reset-android-phone.
I tried that, but the recovery mode isn't working for me—only a cancel button comes up. Any other ideas?
It's a Realme RMX3933.
