HP Envy Laptop Won’t Display After Fan Replacement – Any Ideas?

I have an HP Envy laptop that isn't showing any display. The power button LED is lit, but there's nothing on the screen. This issue started after I replaced the fan, which I ordered online because the old one was noisy. I left the laptop off without power or battery for a few days, then installed the new fan, and now I can't get any output on the display.

Here's what I've noticed: the fan spins, the CPU and GPU are heating up, and the power button LED turns on and off three times before staying lit. The fan does something similar. There's also a red LED on the NVMe SSD that flashes three times when I power it on, and another LED near the power cable is flashing white after the initial red light lasts for a minute. I'm not sure what has caused this, but I'm really stuck and have tried accessing the BIOS several times with no success.

You might want to remove the NVMe drive and see if that helps. A red light on that drive can be a red flag, so it's worth trying to boot without it.

I think it showed a red light even before this issue when it was working, but I’m not totally sure. I also attempted to boot from a USB, but that didn’t work either.

Have you tried connecting your laptop to an external monitor? Sometimes, laptops have fragile connectors that might come loose. It’s worth checking if the main board cable to the screen is slightly disconnected.

I tried using a USB-C to HDMI adapter. The hub lights up, but there’s still no output on the HDMI monitor. Also, the caps lock key doesn’t light up, though the keyboard backlight works.
