I have a GPU that's completely unresponsive and causes my PC not to boot when it's connected, even though my CPU has integrated graphics. I want to turn a spare PC into a home server, but the CPU on that one lacks integrated graphics. Is there any way to make this dead GPU work for booting the PC?

Unfortunately, it seems like your GPU might need to be diagnosed by a repair shop to determine if it can be fixed, but honestly, it might not be worth it. You’d probably be better off looking for a cheap, used GPU instead of paying repair fees for something that's just meant for output.
