I'm currently running a Ryzen 5 7600X with an Asus PRIME B650M-R motherboard and a 1000W power supply. I just upgraded from a 4070 Ti Super to a 5080 because I found a great deal. I'm wondering if switching to a Ryzen 7 9800X3D would give me a noticeable performance boost in games like Call of Duty Warzone, especially since I play at 1440p with a 240Hz refresh rate. Also, if I do upgrade the CPU, would I need a better motherboard? If so, any suggestions? Thanks!

Upgrading to the 9800X3D would likely give you a nice performance bump in most games, including the ones you mentioned. Since you're gaming at 1440p and 240Hz, a stronger CPU can help with frame rates, especially in fast-paced titles. Just make sure your cooling solution is adequate for the new CPU as well!
You might want to check your motherboard compatibility before making the jump. A newer motherboard could help you unlock even better performance, but it depends on whether the games you play will take advantage of it. Always a good idea to research if you're spending on new hardware!
Good point! I'll need to look into which boards would match well with the 9800X3D.
True! And don't forget to check if your current motherboard supports the 9800X3D, or you'll need to pick one that does.
