How Can I Track My Lost Phone if It’s Dead?

I lost my phone yesterday after it had been turned off for several hours. I had an accident, and along with my glasses and backpack, it went missing. I was picked up by an ambulance, and I think they might have left it in the truck. I've asked around the hospital, but no one seems to have seen it. They told me to wait a couple of days as lost items sometimes take a while to show up at lost and found.

Meanwhile, I want to try to search for it myself in case they don't have it. The problem is, my phone was turned off for a while, so the last location I can see is far from where the accident happened. Is there any way to track it? I really need to get it back; it has a lot of important information and precious memories that aren't backed up anywhere.

I remember hitting my head pretty hard during the accident, so I can't clearly recall where I lost everything. But if police or the ambulance service don’t have it, it might be worth asking nearby places if someone turned it in. Tracking it might not work since it's off, though.

It’s possible your phone is still in the ambulance or the towing yard. They usually don’t take belongings unless specifically asked. You should definitely check with the towing company to see if they have it there.

From what I know, your phone needs to be powered on to be tracked. You might be able to see its last known location, but if it’s off, that’s about it. It's a tough situation, unfortunately.
