What’s the Next Step After AZ-104 for a Cloud Admin Career?

I'm making a transition from desktop support to a cloud admin role, and I've already completed the AZ-104 certification. I have some experience with Azure since my workplace uses on-prem AD, Azure, and Adaxes for middleware. I'm curious about the next steps in my certification journey. Since I'm more interested in networking and infrastructure rather than Security or AI, what certifications should I consider after AZ-104?

Congrats on your progress! I recommend getting more hands-on experience before diving into further exams. After that, think about AZ-500 (Security), AZ-700 (Networking), and AZ-305 (Architect). I followed this route, and it really boosted my confidence! 💪🏼

Consider AZ-400 if you have an interest in DevOps, AZ-204 if you're more into development, or AZ-305 if a cloud architect role is appealing to you. Good luck on your journey! 😊

Honestly, I'd say stop at AZ-104 for now. Build some hands-on projects and gain experience using those skills in a job. It's important not to rush through certifications without the practical experience to back them up.

You make a solid point! I initially thought about going for AZ-305, but I realize now I’d struggle without relevant experience.

If you're leaning towards networking, the AZ-700 certification would be a great fit. It focuses on Azure networking, which aligns nicely with your interests. You can check it out here: https://learn.microsoft.com/en-us/credentials/certifications/azure-network-engineer-associate.

Didn’t even know about that certification—thanks for the tip!

Definitely go for the AZ-700! It’s a great next step for anyone interested in networks.
