Hey everyone! I just built my first PC using some old parts, specifically an MSI motherboard, and I'm having a major issue with audio. When I try to play a video, there's no sound coming out, even though my volume is turned all the way up. Windows 11 recognizes that the monitor is connected as an audio device, but I still can't hear anything. I've followed tons of troubleshooting tips like checking the Device Manager and updating drivers, but nothing has worked so far. Plus, I turned up the sound in the monitor's BIOS settings. Since I got this PC for streaming, I really need it to work properly. Any advice would be super appreciated!

It sounds like your monitor might not actually have built-in speakers! Even if it shows up as an audio output device, many monitors don’t have functional speakers. I suggest connecting external speakers either directly to your PC’s motherboard or to the monitor if it has an audio output. After that, make sure to set the speakers as your default audio device in Windows. If your monitor does have speakers, just double-check the volume settings on the monitor itself; it might be muted!
I checked, and my monitor doesn't have speakers. I'll try connecting external ones to the motherboard instead!
