Hey everyone! I recently upgraded my CPU to an i7-14700K and upgraded my power supply to a CORSAIR CX750M. Initially, everything was running smoothly, but after closing some applications, my screen would go black for a moment. I updated my BIOS, which fixed the black screen issue, but now I'm experiencing a slight input lag, especially when playing FPS games. It's not a huge delay, but it's frustrating. My motherboard is a B660 DS3H AC DDR4. I used to have an i5-12400F. What steps can I take to resolve this input delay? Any advice would be greatly appreciated!

It sounds like your motherboard might not be the best fit for the i7-14700K. It can struggle with power delivery, especially under load. Upgrading to a more suitable motherboard, like the one I linked, could help with stability and performance. Also, double-check that your RAM is installed in slots 2 and 4, and make sure XMP is enabled to get the best memory speeds. You might want to run a tool like GPU-Z to check your GPU's performance and settings too. Good luck!
I had a similar issue before. You can try running some benchmarks to see how your system performs overall. Make sure your graphics card is set up properly and that it's connected to the right ports. Sometimes just tweaking those settings can resolve input lag issues. If you're still getting errors, it might be worth checking for driver updates or even reinstalling them to ensure everything works smoothly.
Just to confirm, is your monitor connected directly to the GPU? Sometimes connection issues can also cause input delays, so that could be worth checking.
So you're saying I should definitely consider swapping out my motherboard for a better option? Thanks for the suggestion!
