Is the Ryzen 5 7600 a Good Choice for My Gaming PC Build?

I'm putting together a new gaming PC and I want to make sure I pick the best CPU for my needs. My build focuses on being compact and energy-efficient, but I still want to enjoy gaming. I currently have the AMD Ryzen 5 7600 in my build, but I've heard there are other options available like the Ryzen 5 8500G or the Ryzen 7 7700 that I should consider. Given the specs and my goal for this PC, do you think I should stick with the 7600 or switch to one of the alternatives? What's the best CPU option considering performance and power consumption?

Honestly, both the Ryzen 7600 and 7700 are solid choices. If the price difference isn't much, I'd lean towards the 7700 since it offers a bit more performance with its extra cores. Just a heads up though, I'd steer clear of the 8500G. The entire 8000 series just doesn't perform well in gaming compared to the 7000 series.

Haha, appreciate the tip. Guess the 8XXX models are out! Is the extra two cores in the 7700 really going to help with future gaming?
