Hey everyone! I have an HP Omen 16 gaming laptop that's about three years old. The other day, while I was watching Twitch, I left for a moment to make some tea, and when I came back, the laptop had turned off and won't turn back on. There are no lights, no power, nothing at all. The charging indicator light isn't even on. I always keep it plugged in while using it since the battery life is pretty terrible, and I unplug it when I'm done. Before I take it to a repair shop (it's not under warranty anymore), does anyone have suggestions on what I can try? I've searched online but haven't found any helpful info. Thanks!

How comfortable are you with tinkering? Knowing the specific model can help troubleshoot, as there are quite a few variations of the HP Omen 16. If you're up for it, maybe opening it up could reveal something loose or broken.
Honestly, if it's totally dead, it might be best to just take it to a repair shop. If there's no chance of reviving it, they might be able to recover any important data.
Yeah, but I'm just curious—what could cause it to suddenly die like that? It just went out of the blue!
The model is 16-b0001ni. I can open the back cover, and I can disconnect things if needed, but I have very little knowledge about the internals.
