Hey everyone! I'm a bit lost when it comes to graphics cards and would love some guidance. I'm looking for a PC setup that can handle the latest AAA titles at decent graphics and frame rates, as well as some strategy and indie games. I've come across a few budget-friendly graphics cards that are often recommended:
- RTX 4060
- RTX 5060
- RX 9060 XT
- Intel Arc B570
Could someone break down which of these would be the best choice for my needs? I'd appreciate any pros and cons explained in simple terms. Thanks a lot!

It really depends on your gaming resolution. If you want the cheapest option and can sacrifice a bit of quality, going with something lower might work. But if you're aiming for that 1080p experience, you'll want something more powerful.
For gaming cards over $300, you'll want at least 12GB of VRAM. So the RTX 4060 and 5060 aren't great options since they're below that. The RX 9060 XT with 16GB is way faster than the Intel B570, so I'd only recommend the Intel version if it’s significantly cheaper.
The RX 9060 XT is generally considered the best value for performance right now. It can handle most games smoothly at 1080p and even 1440p. If you're aiming for good frame rates without breaking the bank, this seems like your best bet!
Awesome, thanks both of you!
Just make sure to get the 16 GB version for the best performance!
If you're after solid gaming performance, I'd stick with the RX 9060 XT. It's a well-rounded choice that meets most needs without costing an arm and a leg. The basic rule of thumb is to consider the resolution and frame rates you’ll be gaming at.
This is super helpful! Thanks! It's so hard to find easy-to-understand info about GPUs.
Exactly, finding the basics can be a hassle these days. Glad to help!
1080p would be sufficient for me personally! 🙂
