Looking for Budget-Friendly Gaming PC Build Suggestions

I'm gearing up to build my first gaming PC, and I'm not looking for anything too high-end—just a solid setup that can handle indie games. Right now, I'm considering a B550 motherboard, a Ryzen 5 3600 CPU, a 1070 Ti GPU, and 16GB of DDR4 RAM. I'm aiming for at least 60 FPS at 720p, which should be fine for my needs since I'll still be using my PS5 a lot. I'm flexible with my budget but want to keep costs low, ideally around $500, but I could stretch up to $800-1000 if necessary. I'm also thinking about possibly upgrading to a B650 motherboard and DDR5 RAM in the future. I'd love any feedback or suggestions!

It sounds like you have a decent start! Just a heads up, your current CPU and GPU combo would have been great a few years ago, but things have changed quite a bit. For a budget system today, consider going with something like a Ryzen 5 5600 paired with an RX 6600 for better performance without breaking the bank. It's all about setting a budget first because that really directs your choices.

Thanks for the suggestion! I have around $500 for now, but I'm open to going up to $800-1000 if necessary.

Before settling on any part, definitely nail down that budget! You might also benefit from looking into the new AM5 setups like a 9600X with an RX 9060 XT, which could give you a solid upgrade path. Just be mindful of rising prices in tech right now; it might be worth weighing your options thoroughly before buying.

Great advice! I’ll keep that in mind while I finalize my components.
