Screen Blackout Issues While Playing Cyberpunk 2077

I'm having a strange problem while gaming on Cyberpunk 2077. After more than 60 hours of gameplay with no issues, my screen suddenly went black during a session. My monitor lost signal, and I initially thought my GPU might be toast. I tried unplugging and replugging the HDMI cable, but that didn't work. Restarting my PC did help temporarily, but the issue recurred a few minutes later. I checked the GPU temperature and noticed it peaked at 70°C, which is slightly higher than my usual range of 60-63°C during gaming. I researched potential causes and found that outdated drivers could be an issue. I checked for updates, and my drivers are up to date. I suspect it might be overheating or maybe something else. My setup includes an Asus Tuf 3080 OC GPU paired with an i3-10100F processor, and I have good airflow with three intake and one exhaust fan. Any ideas on what might be going wrong? As a side note, I noticed that when idle, the GPU temperature is around 42°C, which seems high compared to the usual 25-30°C.

It sounds like a frustrating issue! First off, 70°C is actually fine for a GPU under load, so it's not likely overheating from that. You might want to check if this happens with any other games or just Cyberpunk. Also, have you thought about your PSU? What size do you have? Sometimes a faulty PSU can cause problems under load. Another option is to use DDU to uninstall your graphics drivers completely and then reinstall the latest ones from NVIDIA. New driver updates can create compatibility issues as well. Keep us posted on what you find!

So far, it's only happened with Cyberpunk, but I haven't played much else since it occurred. The GPU was used but supposedly only a year old. I'm planning to do a clean reinstall of the drivers to see if that helps!
