I'm sticking with the AM4 platform and skipping the AM5 upgrade for now. Should I consider upgrading to a Ryzen 5800X or a 5700X3D, or is my current setup still viable for a few more years? Just to add, I mostly game at 1440p resolution.

Really depends on what games you're playing! Check your GPU usage in-game. If it's often below 100%, that means your CPU is likely holding you back, and a faster one could help. For most games, the difference between the 5800X and the 5600 is minimal, but the 5700X3D is a solid upgrade. Just keep in mind prices have gone up lately, making it less appealing compared to jumping to AM5 or another setup.
Your performance really varies based on the game. If you’re at lower resolutions like 1080p, checking out GPU utilization is key. If it's below 80%, consider cranking up graphic settings to push your GPU harder. Your aim should be a 99% GPU usage for optimal gaming.
I actually game at 1440p, so I might be in a different situation.
