Upgrading My Gaming Setup for 1440p: What Should I Change?

Hey everyone! I'm planning to upgrade my gaming setup so I can enjoy modern games at 1440p resolution. Currently, I play titles like Cyberpunk 2077 and Valorant, and I really want to hit high settings with smooth frame rates on newer demanding games.

Here's what I've got right now:
- **CPU:** AMD Ryzen 5 3600
- **GPU:** NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1070
- **RAM:** 16GB (2x8GB) DDR4-3200
- **Motherboard:** Gigabyte B450M DS3H WIFI
- **Storage:** 240GB WD SSD and a 2TB Seagate HDD
- **Monitor:** I currently use a 1080p 165Hz monitor, but I'm upgrading to 1440p 165Hz soon.
- **PSU:** Not sure of the model yet, but I might need to check if it's good enough for an upgrade.
- **Case:** Should have adequate space and airflow, so I'm not worried about that.

My goal is to game at **1440p with high settings** on AAA titles, with a budget of around **$1,000 USD** (flexible for best value). I'm open to upgrading the GPU, CPU, and possibly adding an M.2 SSD or PSU as needed. Ideally, I'd like to keep my RAM and case if I can. Any advice you have for me would be greatly appreciated!

If you're looking at a full new build, I recommend checking out this parts list: [Full Build Recommendations](https://pcpartpicker.com/list/V4qCPJ). It has solid components that would definitely enhance your gaming experience at 1440p without breaking the bank.

Thanks for the suggestion! If I decide to increase my budget later, what parts would you say are the top priorities to focus on upgrading?
