Hey everyone! I'm finally putting together my very first PC from scratch, and I'm super excited! My build includes a G.Skill Flare X5 Series 16GB DDR5-6000 RAM stick, but I can't seem to find another single stick from the same line, and I'd prefer not to purchase a dual kit. I stumbled upon a used Ripjaws S5 DDR5-6000 (CL30-40-40-96, 1.35V) also with 16GB. Is it feasible to mix these two sticks to reach a total of 32GB?

Mixing RAM isn't recommended. While it might technically work if the timings are similar, it usually leads to instability or performance issues. If you go this route, you might need to manually tweak the speed and timings to get it stable. Just a heads up!
Honestly, it might just be worth it to buy a dual kit. Trust me, RAM issues can be super frustrating!
It might work, but XMP profiles won’t be usable for mixed modules. You’d need to manually set the parameters, possibly lowering them for stability. Using the SPD settings set by your motherboard can be a safer choice.
Check if the timings match! The CL30-40-40-96 of the Ripjaws is important, and if your G.Skill Flare is CL32, you might run into compatibility issues. It’s ideal to have them match to avoid problems.
This is a classic question! Yes, you can mix them, but you really shouldn't. Mixing different memory kits can lead to headaches - like unpredictable performance and crashes. Plus, with DDR5, it's even more risky because of the different product lines and potential timing conflicts. I'd advise against it and suggest getting a matched pair instead.
From my bundle, the G.Skill is CL32, so that could be an issue.
