What Are the Best PC Upgrade Options for Under $700?

I'm planning to upgrade my PC sometime between September and December, and I want to make sure I'm getting good parts without waiting too long. I currently need a new CPU, motherboard, and RAM since I've been experiencing random crashes and I'm running low on resources. I've got a budget of about $600 to $700. Here's my current setup (except for the case, which I want to replace): [PCPartPicker Link](https://pcpartpicker.com/list/8nTnBq). Also, I'm curious about switching to Linux but occasionally using Windows for a couple of specific tasks. Would this be an annoying setup?

If you're looking for specific parts, try this link: [Part List](https://pcpartpicker.com/list/4sdcMC). Just a heads up, if you're not super attached to your case, you might want to consider a more budget-friendly option like the Montech 903 AIR. It could save you a bit of cash!

Thanks for the suggestion! I’ll check that case out.

You have plenty of options for a budget upgrade! You can definitely get a solid CPU, motherboard, and RAM combo for around $300-$400. I’d recommend checking out Newegg for bundles like the 9600X or 14600K with a compatible motherboard and RAM. They often throw in games or SSDs too, which is a nice bonus!
