How Can I Stop Ads at Startup on My Windows 11 Laptop?

I've been facing an annoying issue with my Lenovo Gaming 3 laptop, where ads pop up in Chrome when I start my system. The redirecting site often starts with "g0st.com". I tried scanning with MalwareBytes, but it didn't find anything. I also disabled all extensions and even reinstalled Chrome, yet the ads continue to show up. I don't see anything suspicious in the Task Scheduler, and I've made sure Chrome isn't set to launch at startup. This has been happening for the past two weeks, and I really want to avoid uninstalling Chrome if possible. Any suggestions?

If all else fails, consider doing a clean install of Windows 11. Just make sure to back up your important files first. And when creating the installation media, use a USB from a clean machine to avoid the risk of reinstalling any malware. It's the most thorough method if you're struggling with this persistent ad issue!

You should definitely run Malwarebytes along with AdwCleaner to catch anything that might have slipped through. Also, sending a screenshot of your Chrome policy page might help us figure out what's going wrong. Just type `chrome://policy` in the address bar and see what comes up! It’s possible something is being forced on the browser.

It sounds like you might be dealing with a browser hijacker. Have you checked the steps on how to remove g0st.com? There's a guide available that outlines detailed instructions on removing it. It's definitely worth a shot! [Check it out here](https://howtoremove.guide/remove-g0st-com/).
