I recently had my iPhone stolen and activated Lost Mode on it. However, the status remains 'Pending' even though the phone has been moving around on the map. It updated its location around twelve hours after I set Lost Mode, but I can't understand why Lost Mode isn't activating. Can someone explain what's going on?

I had something similar happen years ago. The phone was stolen, but even though I could see its location, the Lost Mode never went through. Sometimes, if the device isn't properly on a cellular network, you'll get a delayed response. In my case, I reached out to the carrier; they could track it through their towers. They might be able to assist you, too. Hopefully, you'll get it back soon!
It's tough to see your phone moving without Lost Mode fully activating. If 'Find My iPhone' is enabled, that's a good start. However, if you're still seeing 'Pending', it might be an issue with the device connecting to the internet. Sometimes, it takes longer for the iCloud system to register the Lost Mode status, especially if the thief turned off Wi-Fi or is using the phone in a way that doesn't allow for quick updates. It’s also possible they are trying to avoid detection.
Thanks for the insight! It's just frustrating that it keeps moving but Lost Mode is still not working.
Definitely frustrating! If it's moving, just keep the tracking going and hope for the best.
I’ll definitely try contacting my carrier. Thanks for the tip!
