Hey there! I'm really interested in web development and I've got the basics down with HTML, CSS, and JavaScript. I'm currently working through TheOdinProject in my spare time. I want to know if I can land a freelance job just by focusing on these skills for a few months. Also, I've heard about front-end and back-end development but I'm not exactly clear on why frameworks are important. Any insights would be super helpful!

Absolutely, it's important to grasp the fundamentals first! If you can create a project to showcase what you've learned, that would be great for your portfolio. However, be aware that many job postings expect knowledge of frameworks, so it might be beneficial to learn a few of those too.

I'm in a similar boat, just wrapped up HTML and CSS and am now tackling JavaScript. I found a Udemy course that also covers frameworks like Angular and React. If you're looking for a study buddy, I’d love to connect! Freelance roles do often require some knowledge of frameworks.

You're definitely on the right track with HTML, CSS, and JavaScript for front-end development! For full web development, you might also want to look into backend languages like Python, Java, or C# to handle things like authentication and APIs. The front-end trio is a solid start, but there’s a lot more to learn if you want to dive deeper!

You can definitely start with just those tools, but think of it like building a house with only basic tools - it can be done but having more advanced tools makes the job easier! Consider adding a backend language like Python and a modern framework to help speed up your development.

Unfortunately, just knowing those three won't make you job-ready. Frameworks greatly simplify development and save time. For example, Bootstrap can help you create complex layouts much quicker than coding everything from scratch. So, while it's good to know the basics, you'll definitely want to learn some frameworks too.
