I'm working on creating a data center setup that includes replication between two locations. The goal is to ensure that if the primary data center goes down, the secondary one can take over seamlessly. Currently, we have a single rack with client-specific virtual firewalls (FortiGate VDOMs) behind which all servers operate. I'm looking for guidance on the necessary networking configurations that would allow for efficient replication to another data center and ensure proper failover for our clients. Has anyone implemented something similar? I'd really appreciate any insights or experiences!

We actually did a similar setup using stretched VLANs with VXLAN/IPsec for security, BGP for failover, and synchronized FortiGate VDOMs. I'd be curious to know what hypervisor and storage you are using; I can share more specific details if that helps!
Thanks for the input! We are using Hyper-V and Pure for the SAN.
