I manage an Active Directory but we don't have Entra set up. I've allowed some users to set up Windows Hello by adjusting a registry key at HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINESOFTWAREPoliciesMicrosoftWindowsSystem with "AllowDomainPINLogon" set to 1. Now, I've got a couple of users facing issues: one forgot their PIN and the other needs to redo their setup, but the option to remove the sign-in method is greyed out. Since changing the PIN requires the old one, I'm stuck. How can I restart the PIN process? My searches only turn up Windows Hello for Business, which doesn't apply here since we lack Entra. Also, I have global admin access on our AD.

You actually don't need Entra for Windows Hello for Business, just keep that in mind!
