I was dozing off in front of my Acer Helios Predator laptop and suddenly noticed a glob of saliva pooling in the gap between the trackpad and the edge of the laptop. I tried to clean it up, but it just kept coming back! After a while, I turned off the laptop, unplugged everything, and flipped it upside down. Now I'm just waiting and worrying whether my laptop will be okay. What should I do?

It's unlikely that your laptop is damaged, but I'd recommend disconnecting the battery if you can. Just turn it upside down and let it dry for about 48 hours. Also, when cleaning the area, use rubbing alcohol on a microfiber cloth - just dampen the cloth and don’t pour it directly on the laptop!
None of us knows how to disconnect the battery and it looks like it would require tools that I don’t think we have here. 🙁
