Need Help: UPS Delivered My iPhone to a Stranger!

Hey everyone, I'm in a bit of a bind and could really use some advice. I ordered an iPhone 15 128GB in Blue, along with some AirPods 4 from the Apple Store app, costing me $934.15 after tax. My apartment building doesn't have a front desk, just mailboxes.

Here's the problem: UPS marked my iPhone as delivered to a 'Front Desk,' signed by someone named Sherlyne, who I don't know. When I checked the tracking, it led me to a location that is actually a Western Beef supermarket, not my address and definitely not where I approved it to be delivered.

I've got my AirPods taken care of because Apple Support is sending a replacement, but the iPhone situation is more complicated. They said I need to wait two business days for a 'specialist' to reach out, which is frustrating since I might not even be available when they call.

I'm really upset about this because I paid in full and I didn't authorize UPS to leave it anywhere else. I'm thinking of filing a chargeback if I don't get this sorted soon, but I'm angry that it got this far in the first place. Has anyone else encountered something like this? Any tips on how to escalate it or speed things up? Thanks!

Just a heads up, if you decide to go for a chargeback, there's a good chance your Apple ID could get locked. That means losing access to your iCloud and any photos you might have stored there, so make sure you've backed those up first. I hope it all works out for you!

Noted and thanks for the warning!

I see stories like this all the time, and it's really making me reconsider living in a place without an Apple Store nearby. I always prefer to pick things up in person now.

I should've done an in-person pickup too. I thought delivery would be easier, but never again!
