Hey everyone! I have a bit of a sentimental situation here. There's this photo from high school of my girlfriend and me (even though we weren't dating back then). We've recently gotten back together and things are amazing! The only issue is that she deleted the picture from her Facebook about five years ago after a brief fling we had. It was a cute memory, and since we're officially together now, I really want to try and recover that photo. I know it's been gone for years, but does anyone have any tips or tricks for pulling it back from the digital void?

Any chance she sent that photo over a message or posted it in a group chat? Sometimes older photos end up tucked away in those conversations instead.
Unfortunately, once a photo is deleted from Facebook and it's been over 30 to 90 days, it's pretty much gone for good. Your best bet is to dig through any backups you might have or check your devices. Those could hold a copy of the photo you’re looking for.
You could try accessing a backup of her Facebook profile. There's a tiny chance that the photo might still be lingering in there. Otherwise, if it’s not on her devices now, it’s likely lost unless it was saved somewhere else.
Make sure to check backups like iCloud or Google Photos as well. If the photo was ever synced or backed up, there’s a slim shot it could be hanging out there somewhere.
