Need Help Choosing The Right GPU for My Setup

Hey folks, I'm looking to upgrade my RTX 2060 to better match with my AMD 7800X3D. However, I'm stuck on which GPU to buy that won't break the bank. I can manage the cost of a regular 5060, and if I really push it, the 5060 Ti might fit into my budget. But I keep hearing complaints about the 8GB VRAM limit on those cards. The 5060 Ti with 16GB is also an option, but it's a stretch for me financially. It's roughly $400 for the 5060, $500 for the Ti, and $600 for the Ti with 16GB. I'm not in the US, so prices vary. Is it worth spending an extra $100 for that extra 16GB? Or should I consider another option altogether? Thanks for your help!

Totally get what you're saying! If your games aren't super demanding right now, it might feel like 8GB could do, but spending a bit more for the 16GB could save you from upgrading sooner. Plus, if you’re considering AMD since you’re happy with your CPU, the 9060 XT could be a good fit. And it's nice to have some peace of mind knowing you won't need to tweak settings down the line. Just make sure to check the prices on the 9060 XT in your area!

You might also want to keep an eye out for discounts or sales on the 5060 Ti 16GB. Sometimes you can find deals that make it more manageable. Just be careful about stretching your budget too thin—make sure you can afford a bit of wiggle room for other upgrades in the future.

If it were me, I'd go for the 9060 XT 16GB instead of the 5060 or the 5060 Ti with just 8GB. That extra VRAM can make a big difference for future-proofing your setup, especially if you’re gaming at higher resolutions. It really depends on your gaming habits though; if you're mostly playing at 1080p, 8GB might still be okay for a while. But for 1440p with high settings, that 16GB is probably the way to go.
