Hey everyone! I'm new to the whole PC building thing and have never owned one before, but I've always wanted to! I've done some research and created a list on PCPartPicker with parts I'm considering, but I'm looking for guidance from experienced builders. My budget is around $1000 AUD, but I can stretch it a bit if needed. I'm interested in playing games like Ark Survival Ascended, Battlefield 2042, and Baldur's Gate 3. Any advice, tips, or suggestions would really help me out! Here's my part list: https://pcpartpicker.com/list/8WBxqH

Just a heads up: definitely use the Australian version of PCPartPicker for better price accuracy (au.pcpartpicker.com). I noticed your list on the US site is over $1100 AUD. Here's a suggested part list that upgrades your GPU to a 9060 XT but keeps your overall budget in check. You can view it here: https://au.pcpartpicker.com/list/NR9ydb. Some components won’t require high-end specs, and that upgrade could really improve 1080p performance!

Hey! I checked out your list. I think you could get better components for the same price if you consider switching out the GPU, RAM, CPU, and PSU. For a similar cost, you can get a 2TB SSD, which is a good upgrade. I suggested a build you can find here: https://pcpartpicker.com/list/4cFHTM. Also, I know the PSU is a bit overkill, but the Montech PSU is only $85 and scores better than others in the same price range. Just giving you options without going over your $1K budget!
Wow! This is excellent, thank you! Your assumption was correct, I’m on a bit of a budget. What kind of performance could I expect with this setup? I'm looking to play games like Ark Survival Ascended, Battlefield 2042, The Finals, and possibly Helldivers 2, though I hear that one's pretty demanding.
