Is 90°C Too High for My Ryzen 5800X?

I've been using an AIO cooler on my Ryzen 5800X, and it's been running at 90°C for a while now. It's held up fine, but I'm starting to worry if that's a safe temperature. I'm thinking about taking it to a PC shop to check the fan orientation and possibly do a repaste. Any insights on whether 90°C is okay?

What’s the orientation of your AIO fans? If they’re intaking, that could lead to higher temps. Proper airflow plays a huge role in cooling efficiency! A top-mounted AIO should usually have fans set to exhaust.

Are you hitting 90°C at idle or under load? If it’s during heavy use, it’s kinda expected, but if it's at idle, that's definitely not right! Keep an eye on it, and consider re-evaluating your cooling setup.

It seems to hit 90°C regardless, but when I monitor temps closely, they drop unexpectedly.

Running at 90°C with an AIO cooler is concerning! It sounds like there might be an issue with the cooler itself. AIOs should generally keep temps much lower, so it might be time to check that cooler or the fan setup.

Yeah, definitely check your fan orientation. It could be causing airflow problems.
