How Can I Compress My Passport Photos to Under 100KB?

I need to compress my family's passport photos for a Visa application, but they're currently around 2.1MB each. I tried an online compressor, but the files are still 400KB. The Visa portal requires each photo to be 100KB or smaller, and I'd really prefer not to pay for new photos since I spent about $120 on these. Anyone know how to get them down to size?

Getting below 100KB is tricky! First, check the file type, as it can make a big difference in compression. You can definitely use tools that compress images, but they can seriously affect the quality. Let me know what format your photos are in, and I might have some suggestions!

I’m okay with quality trade-offs. Any specific tools you recommend for that?
