I'm looking for recommendations on coding resources suitable for my 7-year-old son. He has a big interest in robots and recently expressed the desire to learn how to "build the brains" of a robot. I initially planned to wait until he was 8 or 9, but I think starting earlier could be beneficial. Any advice on where to begin would be greatly appreciated!

Starting with Scratch will help him grasp the basics. Once he’s comfortable, you can explore Vex IQ Blocks for robot programming, which is a block-language similar to Scratch. It can get pricey, but there are free resources available too!

Honestly, it’s great to start early, but keep in mind that foundational skills are important. Scratch has tons of teaching materials that are fun, and check out Twinery for interactive storytelling! It’s really engaging and could spark his creativity.
