I have a 1 TB hard drive where I store movies and personal files, and I've been using it as a media hub with my Google TV. Recently, I started having issues when trying to play video files. Now, when I connect it to my laptop, I get an error message that says, "Drive E: is not accessible, the file is corrupted and unreadable." I attempted to run the command *chkdsk E: /f* but that didn't resolve the problem. I also tried reassigning the drive letter, but nothing worked. I would rather not retire the hard drive, as I need to recover the files and move them to a new one. I'm not super tech-savvy, but I'm willing to try. Any ideas or advice? Thanks!

You might want to try connecting the hard drive to a different computer. Sometimes, a drive that's not readable on one machine can still be accessed elsewhere. If it's in an external enclosure, you can also try swapping it out with a different one to see if that helps.
Yeah, I tried it on my second laptop, but it gives the same error. The hard drive is a Samsung portable 1TB.
