I just built my PC with a Ryzen 5800XT, but my motherboard box claims it's 'Ryzen 3rd Gen desktop ready' and the manual states that it supports AM4 socket 3rd Gen AMD Ryzen processors, along with future ones with a BIOS update. However, after assembling everything, my computer boots into the BIOS. Should I update the BIOS right away, or is it okay to run it without the update?

If your PC boots into the BIOS, you don't need to rush and update it. But it's a good idea to do so sooner rather than later for better compatibility.
As long as you haven't installed the operating system yet, it's normal for it to stay in the BIOS. Just make sure everything is set up right before you proceed with the OS installation.
I get that, but I'm still curious if it’s safe to use a Ryzen 5th Gen CPU with just the 3rd Gen ready BIOS.
