Why is my PC not detecting the SSD at startup?

I built my own PC last year, and it's been working fine until recently. Now, when I turn off my PC and then back on, the BIOS doesn't detect the SSD. Interestingly, if I unplug the SSD overnight and then plug it back in the next morning, it works again. I'm looking for suggestions on how to resolve this issue permanently.

It sounds like a tricky problem! It might be either the SSD or the motherboard causing the issue. If your SSD is a 2.5" model, try changing the SATA port on the motherboard, and make sure the data and power cables are properly connected. If it's an M.2 drive, you could test it in a different slot if you have one available. Also, check if there's a BIOS update; that could help too!

I agree! Sometimes the cables can be the issue. Just a little nudge can make a difference.
