Hey everyone! I just bought a Ryzen 7 7700X and have already sunk around $500 into my PC build. I'm now on the lookout for a GPU that fits my budget of about $400. I'm considering the new 9060 with 16GB, but I'm also thinking about either getting a used card or possibly spending a bit more for better performance. I specifically plan to use my PC for VR games and other graphically intense games. Just to give you an idea of my setup, I'm using a 1440p 180Hz monitor. Any recommendations?

I'd avoid going for used GPUs in this price range. A new 9060XT would give you solid performance for 1440p and would handle 1080p flawlessly!
Check r/hardwareswap! I just picked up an RTX 3070 Ti for only 250 bucks there!
I'd suggest either the new 9060XT or a used 3080. Both should fit really well for gaming at your resolution.
Make sure to aim for a GPU with more than 8GB of VRAM; that should really help narrow down your choices.
Looking at options like the 9060XT 16GB or 5060 Ti 16GB could also be solid. If you're open to used, a 3080 with 12GB might work nicely too.
If VR gaming is a priority, you'll want something beefier than the 9060, like an RX 9070 or RTX 5070. The games you play and the resolutions matter too. You could also think about downgrading to a 9600X since it provides almost the same gaming performance compared to the 7700X unless you multitask heavily while gaming.
I scored the 7700X for just $117, so I'd stick with it if I were you!
