I'm having some trouble with my computer. When I first power it on, I can see the POST screen just fine, but shortly after that, the screen goes blank. I know the monitor is getting a signal because its light turns green, but nothing shows up on the display. Interestingly, if I unplug the monitor and plug it back in, it lights up for a few seconds before going blank again. This issue seems to occur every other time I boot up my computer. Any ideas on what could be causing this?

I tried using the DVI port on the motherboard, but I didn't even get to the POST. The keyboard and mouse lit up, though.
It sounds like your PC might be trying to use a different port as the main display. Try switching to another HDMI or DisplayPort on your computer to see if that helps.
