I'm having issues with my Lenovo X13 Yoga Gen 1 touchscreen. It suddenly stopped working, and when I check the Device Manager, the touchscreen is listed under HID but it's greyed out. I can't enable or disable it or update the driver. I tried several methods to force Windows to recognize the touchscreen and update the driver using Microsoft and Lenovo's software, but eventually, I was told to uninstall the device, expecting Windows to reinstall it automatically. Unfortunately, that didn't happen, and now the touchscreen doesn't show up on my system at all. Does anyone know how to get this device back and actually working? I've searched through countless forums but haven't found a solution yet. I'm running the latest version of Windows 10.

To manually find the correct driver, go to Device Manager and check the properties of your device. If it had been functioning before you uninstalled it, there should be hardware IDs in the details tab that you can Google to locate the right driver. I understand it's tough since you’ve already uninstalled it, but those IDs can sometimes linger in the system.
Have you tried booting from a Linux live USB? Sometimes, it can recognize hardware that Windows can't. If your touchscreen works there, you might consider backing up your data and reinstalling Windows from scratch as a last resort.
