What are the best next steps for transitioning to Python backend after learning HTML, CSS, and JS?

Hey everyone! I'm a BTech AIML student and I've just finished learning HTML, CSS, and JS through CodeWithHarry's tutorials. I really enjoyed the frontend part, but I'm feeling a bit stuck now. His course progresses into MERN (Mongo, Express, React, Node), but I'm interested in exploring backend development with Python, specifically using frameworks like Django or Flask. My ultimate goal is to create real-world web applications and perhaps integrate machine learning models in the future.

Could anyone help me out with the following: What would be a good intermediate to advanced roadmap for web development focusing on a Python backend? Are there any good free YouTube courses or platforms you recommend? What types of projects should I aim to work on? Also, how do I connect a Python backend with the frontend? If others are on a similar journey or have already navigated this path, I would love to hear your experiences or advice! Any roadmaps or GitHub repositories would be greatly appreciated! Thanks in advance! 🙂

I can relate to your journey! I started with HTML/CSS/JS too, but felt frontend wasn't my thing and shifted to backend with Python about 1.5-2 months ago. Python is really straightforward, and I've created a basic roadmap encompassing all essential Python topics from beginner to advanced, including SQL. I've also worked on mini projects and shared them on GitHub. They’re nothing too fancy yet, but I'd love to connect with others who are also learning, share some resources, and help each other out!

Your journey sounds so relatable! I’d love to connect as I’m learning Python too. Can I check out your GitHub projects?

You should definitely check out the roadmap at roadmap.sh/backend; it offers a comprehensive guide! It lays out the skills you'll need and the technologies to focus on as you build your Python backend.
