Which GPU Should I Choose for VR: RTX 5070 or 9070 XT?

Hey everyone! I recently got into VR racing with a new racing sim rig and a Quest 3S, but my current setup (RTX 3070, Ryzen 5800X, 32GB RAM) isn't cutting it for high-quality, high-frame rate gaming. I'm looking to upgrade my GPU, and I'm considering either the RTX 5070 or the 9070 XT. I already have the RTX 5070 on hold, but I've seen some pretty negative reviews about it. Other options within my budget are the 7900 XTX and XT models, but the 9070 XT comes with a 15% employee discount because my dad works at AMD. All of these GPUs are priced similarly, so I'm really hoping to get some advice on which one to go for. If there's anything else I might be missing, I'd love to hear other suggestions too!

I’d personally go for the 9070 XT, especially if you can get that discount! I've heard from others that it performs well for VR, and it's a great option if you're playing sim racing games. It might be worth checking titles you like for specific performance feedback, as Nvidia cards often have a bit more optimization. But don't worry too much; if it ends up not being great, you can always sell it and get something else.

Thanks for the input! I think I'm gonna take your advice and try out the 9070 XT!
