Hey everyone! I'm in the process of building a new gaming PC and I need some advice on CPUs. I primarily use my PC for gaming and occasionally for creative tasks, and I'm set on using a CPU with 8 cores and 16 threads as that's my personal preference. I know that the AMD 7700 is the most budget-friendly option, but I want my setup to last for about three years. I've heard great things about the 7800X3D being a solid gaming CPU, but I'm really torn on which one to pick. I'd love to hear your thoughts and experiences!

The 7700 is definitely the cheapest option. The 9700X could be useful if you need the encoders for your creative work. But the 7800X3D is just behind top-tier options in gaming, so it’s a strong contender if you want great performance for a few years to come.
Do you think the 7800X3D would pair well with the TUF GAMING B650-E WIFI motherboard? It might be worth considering if you're leaning that way.
It really depends on your budget and what GPU you’re pairing it with. If you’re using something like a 3070, I wouldn't necessarily go for the 7800X3D since it might be overkill unless you're playing competitive games where every frame matters. Focus more on getting a better GPU if that's the case!
