Why is my 4TB WD SSD showing as 2TB in Device Manager?

I recently upgraded my desktop PC by installing a 4TB WD SN850X SSD to replace my old 2TB WD SN850X SSD. Although the Sandisk Dashboard app correctly identifies the drive as 4TB, Device Manager is only showing it as 2TB. I checked that the drive is in GPT mode as indicated in Disk Management. How can I resolve this issue?

How are your partitions configured in Disk Management? Sometimes, the way they’re set up can affect how the capacity is reported. It might be good to double-check.

Do you have a screenshot of how your SSD appears in Disk Management? It might help clarify what's going on with the capacity display.

Yeah, Disk Management shows it as 4TB, but Device Manager is the one labeling it incorrectly as 2TB. Just so you know, the drive is encrypted with Bitlocker; could that be causing any issues?

If both Disk Management and the Sandisk Dashboard show the correct capacity but Device Manager doesn't, it might just be a Windows issue. Have you tried refreshing Device Manager or restarting your PC to see if it updates the information?
