I'm considering going back to school for a degree in Computer Science or Software Engineering. I've come across Western Governors University's accelerated program for both a bachelor's and master's degree. I understand it might take longer for me, but I'm curious to know if WGU is a good choice and if it's worth the investment.

I'm close to finishing my studies there. Just a heads up, it feels more like a box-checking degree. You might not learn a ton unless you're proactive and seek resources outside the provided materials. For instance, the projects often don't challenge you, and the instructors sometimes just hand out code without much interaction. You'll likely find yourself looking at guides online to get through the courses instead of fully grasping the concepts.
I agree with the previous comment; there are definitely some issues with the curriculum. If you're the type who can learn well independently, you might still find value in it, but don't expect to get a lot of depth in the material. It might work for some people, though, especially if you're focused on getting that degree quickly.
WGU is fully accredited, which is a plus, especially if you have a lot of free time to dedicate to your studies. I've been enrolled for a bit now, and I can say that what you get out of it really depends on how much effort you put in. It's definitely a flexible option for self-starters!
That sounds great! How much does it cost to enroll there?
