Thoughts on My New PC Build?

Hey everyone! I'm upgrading my PC after seven years and I've put together an all-white build that I'm pretty excited about. Here's the breakdown of my parts: I'm using an AMD Ryzen 7 9800X3D processor, a Lian Li liquid cooler, an Asus ROG Strix motherboard, 64 GB of Corsair DDR5 RAM, a Samsung 990 Pro SSD, and the new Asus ROG 5090 graphics card, along with a variety of Lian Li fans and a high-end power supply. The total cost comes to about $7280.43. What do you think? Any suggestions on how to improve this setup?

I have to say, splurging $800 on fans and a $600 PSU seems a bit extreme. You might not notice a difference from a $150-$200 PSU in everyday use, and paying more than MSRP for a 5090 seems like a tough call, but it's your money to spend how you like!

I get your point! I just wanted a solid PSU to avoid issues with my GPU. The white 5090 is around €2800 here in Germany—still pricey but feels like the right choice.

If you're open to it, consider that the Samsung 9100 NVMe might offer twice the speed of your 990 Pro. However, you may not hit those speeds because your GPU is likely hogging the PCIe lanes! ChatGPT said the drop from x16 to x8 isn't huge, but maybe check how it impacts your use case.

Right! The GPU is using the PCIEX16G5, which means the M.2 share lanes and could slow it down. I think the performance difference is minor, but it’s good to keep in mind!

Looks like you've got a powerhouse of a build here! I noticed you picked some top-tier parts, but I wonder if you're looking for specific improvements or just some overall thoughts? By the way, if money isn’t an issue, maybe consider even faster RAM for a boost in performance.

Thanks for the input! I did quite a bit of research, and the 6000 speed seemed to be the sweet spot for me. What do you think about that?
