I've been struggling with my PC showing no internet connection, despite the Ethernet cable being plugged in. I've already tried several troubleshooting steps, including using 'ipconfig /release' and 'ipconfig /renew,' adjusting DNS settings to use Cloudflare, and running 'netsh winsock reset' and 'renew.' As a gamer, this situation is really frustrating because my PC is unusable without internet access. Any help would be greatly appreciated!

Did you try using the network troubleshooter? If you haven’t already, uninstall the WiFi and Ethernet adapters from Device Manager, restart your PC, and they should reinstall automatically. Also, don't forget to reboot your router.
Just because the Ethernet cable is connected doesn't mean your PC is actually getting an internet connection. Can you check what the other end of the cable is connected to? Also, do you have another device to test the connection? It can help pinpoint where the issue is.
To confirm, when you connect your laptop to the same network cable, it gets internet access, but your PC doesn’t, even when you try both wired and WiFi, right?
Yes, that's correct!
Are you sure both ends of the Ethernet cable are properly connected? Sometimes, it can seem plugged in even if it’s not fully seated. Do you have another Ethernet cable to test? It’s important to gather more details to get to the heart of the problem.
I only have one Ethernet cable. The other end is definitely plugged into the router.
Make sure your laptop is really using the wired connection when plugged in. Did you check that WiFi was turned off while connected? It sounds like you've already done that, but it's crucial to verify!
I turned off WiFi before plugging in, and it definitely works with the same Ethernet cable.
When you run 'ipconfig' on your PC while the Ethernet cable is plugged in, what do you see? That could give us some insights into what's wrong.
Here’s what I got: https://preview.redd.it/3oo4ip6fecwe1.jpeg?width=2304&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=1fcc9a0e5e6e7feb58d70192e4d7f89cd1f819ba.
I tried the cable on my laptop, and it works fine! I also tested the WiFi USB dongle I used before switching to Ethernet, but that doesn't work either, which makes me think it might be a hardware issue.
