I'm trying to upgrade my Google One storage, but I noticed that they are adding sales tax to my subscription, even though I'm located in Oregon, which doesn't have a sales tax. Is this common for Google services?

I'm in Wisconsin, and we definitely have sales tax. I pay $1.99 every month for the 100GB plan without any added fees, so it might just be an issue with your account settings.

It could be due to the state settings on your Google account. Sometimes, they might charge tax based on the home state linked to your account, not your actual location. You might want to check if your account still has an old state set as Texas or anywhere else that has sales tax.

Yeah, that was the case for me too! I found out my account was linked to a different state for years. Make sure to update it to Oregon and see if that helps.
