Is it better to go with Nvidia or AMD GPUs for stability these days?

I'm looking to build a reliable system and want to know if choosing an Nvidia GPU over an AMD one makes sense for stability. I previously had a 5700 XT with a ton of issues like crashes and bad software. Now, I'm considering a 3080 Ti but I'm unsure if AMD has improved enough to match Nvidia's stability. Can anyone share their thoughts? Also, any specific feedback on the stability of the 3080 Ti or an AMD alternative would be appreciated!

Recently, AMD drivers have improved a lot! But keep in mind that Nvidia has tons of support, like DLSS 4 for their RTX cards, which keeps their tech ahead in some ways. Just a heads up, stability can depend on specific models too.

So, would you say I can trust an AMD card now? Would you put money on it?

Honestly, this year Nvidia has had its own fair share of issues. They dealt with weird bugs in driver updates, so it's not just AMD anymore. You might want to do some research on the specific models you're considering.

From what I've seen, if you're looking for a plug-and-play experience, Nvidia might still be the safer bet. Even if AMD has improved, one wrong update could cause headaches. That's my concern.

That's definitely my worry too, but have they really turned a corner or are we just hoping for the best?

AMD has been doing pretty well post-5700 XT, but honestly, Nvidia is known for its robust software and driver support. If you're into gaming, either will probably work, but Nvidia's tech for AI and ML is unmatched with their CUDA cores and ray tracing capabilities. Just bear in mind that their new models had some initial hiccups, but updates have improved things a lot!
