Hey folks, I'm a solo game developer and recently traded my working RX 6600 XT for a used RTX 3060 Ti with triple fans from a marketplace. The fans spin on max speed and the RGB lights up, but I'm not getting any display and the card isn't detected at all. I opted for this trade to improve stability across my creative and game development applications since the AMD card didn't support CUDA and was giving me issues (though gaming was fine).
I met the seller in a public place for the trade. Before messaging him again, I want to make sure I'm not doing something wrong. The card doesn't show up in device manager at all, even after trying to troubleshoot it using AIDA64. Here's what I've done:
• My motherboard and CPU are an ASRock Phantom Gaming 4 and an i5-12400, with a Corsair 600W PSU.
• The BIOS is updated as of December 2024.
• I used DDU prior to the install and reset the CMOS.
• I tried both PCIe slots.
• I cleaned the PCIe gold fingers with an eraser, and didn't notice any damage.
This graphics card is critical for my work since I rely on it for income, and I'm in a tough financial spot. Is there anything else I can try, or is there a chance this card is bricked? I've heard about using nvflash but, since it's not detected anywhere, I'm at a loss. Any advice would be greatly appreciated!

Can you take a clear, well-lit side photo of the GPU to check if everything looks intact, especially the die and VRAM? Sometimes visuals can help spot issues.
Did you confirm that the GPU was working before the trade? Like, did the seller share any videos or photos? You might want to try a different PCIe slot and use another HDMI or DisplayPort cable. Just double-check everything is plugged in right on your PSU and motherboard too.
Mining BIOS can cause issues, but usually, the card should be detected. It sounds like the card might be faulty.
