Hey everyone! I'm currently running a Ryzen 5800X with a B550 motherboard and a 4070Ti, cooled by a 360mm NZXT Kraken RGB AIO in a NZXT H9 Elite case. I'm wondering if I'll really notice any performance boost if I upgrade to an AM5 CPU right now. In Australia, this upgrade would set me back around $700 or so for the CPU, motherboard, RAM, and possibly a new power supply. Should I make the jump now, or would it be smarter to wait until the 60 series and do a major upgrade all at once?

Seriously, hold off until AM6. Right now, it seems like an upgrade won't give you much of a performance boost. Why not save your cash and invest it in more fun activities instead?
Before making a decision, think about the games you're currently playing. If you're gaming at 1440p, the benefits of a CPU upgrade may vary a lot by title. Do you find yourself playing CPU-heavy games? That could help determine if it's worth it for you.
Totally agree with the wait! I switched from a 5950X on AM4 to a 9800X3D, and honestly, I noticed no real improvements. Sometimes it's better to stick with what you have—especially if it's still performing well.
Sounds like your setup is pretty solid for 1440p gaming! Upgrading now seems unnecessary when you can still run all current games smoothly. Waiting for the next series to do a bigger update sounds like the smarter move.
My suggestion: just wait. If your current setup is running well, there's no rush to upgrade. I've read that Zen 6 could really elevate performance, potentially making your current hardware feel outdated. But that's a while away, so if things are running fine, I'd hold off for now.
