Hey everyone! I recently got the Anker 12-1 KVM switch to connect my laptop and PC to two monitors (a 144Hz and a 180Hz). Everything works perfectly when I'm using the laptop, but when I switch to the PC, Monitor 2 doesn't seem to display anything. In the PC display settings, I can select 'extend to both monitors,' but Monitor 2 remains blank. Sometimes it shows as NV Failsafe and occasionally allows me to change the screen resolution. I've ensured both my laptop and PC have the latest graphics drivers. I've been troubleshooting for days and even bought a new KVM unit, thinking the first one was faulty. Any advice would be greatly appreciated!

You might want to check if the KVM's firmware is updated. Some models get patches for bugs like this that could help with the dual monitor setup.
Just a heads up on the terminology: when you mention 'casting the laptop,' it sounds like you're using network streaming tech. Just remember you're switching inputs, not casting. When you try to extend the display, make sure you're not inadvertently mirroring the screens. Sometimes the system struggles with different resolutions on both monitors.
Could you share the specific model number of the KVM and the brands/models of your monitors? Knowing those could help others figure out the compatibility issues you might be facing.
Sure! I'm using the Anker Docking Station, KVM Switch for Desktop PC and Laptop. As for the monitors, they are both 144Hz and 180Hz as mentioned.
Thanks for the tip! I'll definitely check the firmware.
