I have a Calix GS4220E router, and I'm trying to figure out the best DHCPv6 mode for my LAN settings. My options are stateful, stateless, or both. Can anyone help me determine which one is best to use?

Yeah, it's interesting! Most Linux systems have been using IPv6 for a while, it's just that some services, like Reddit, might not fully support it yet.

It really depends on whether you're using IPv6 on your LAN. Many people don't bother with it for typical home networks, but if you're not using it, you could just disable it entirely. That might save you some hassle and simplify things.

No. So I would I be better off to leave IPv6 disabled on my router? Thanks.

Shouldn't we be moving towards IPv6? I get better performance on it with a gigabit connection. I assume because it removes the need for NAT.

I think there's a case for using IPv6, especially since most modern systems support it well. That said, if you're not using it, stateful DHCPv6 will just add complexity you might not need.
