I have two MacPro 2013 'stovepipe' machines, and I'm trying to clone the SSD from one to the other. The SSD in the second Mac is completely wiped – like super erased. It's so bad that I can't even mount it in target disk mode or do a network reinstall. I've tried using a few NVM2 cloning devices and some adapters, but no luck so far. Does anyone have advice on how to perform a byte-for-byte clone of one MacPro 2013 SSD to another? Thanks for any help!

If Carbon Copy Cloner doesn't do the trick, you might try using a terminal command if you feel comfortable. There’s a command called 'dd' that can create a byte-for-byte copy of the SSD as long as you can get both drives recognized. Just be careful since it's powerful and could erase the wrong drive if misused!
One option you might want to consider is using Carbon Copy Cloner. It's a reliable tool for cloning drives, and it usually works well with Macs. Just make sure both drives are compatible and connected properly!
Thanks for the suggestion! I’ll look into Carbon Copy Cloner.
I appreciate the advice! I’ll check that out, but I'll be extra careful.
